2020 Our record-breaking harvest

A customer update on our 2020 bumper harvest and our latest information for orders.

2020 Our record-breaking harvest

We are so pleased to share with you all, 2020 has been a record crop! We harvested 1,231,936 kilograms of hops, a whopping 18% on last year. This was largely due to an increased yield per hectare, a fantastic reward for our highly experienced Co-op growers who have worked long and hard on their farms, to maximise their growing conditions. We also enjoyed a hot and dry summer here in Tasman providing excellent conditions for harvest which began in late February and ended earlier this month.

Receiving the bales into our processing centre is an exciting time for the whole team, and while this year has brought its extra challenges as we work through the lockdown period will minimal staff on-site, in response to for COVID-19, we can confidently say the sheds are full! We have just over 10,000 bales now undergoing palletising before heading your way.
