Dr Ron Beatson is a bit of a legend amoungst the brewing community, and is also the driving force behind so many great hop trial innovations.

Genotype x environment (regional) studies; advanced selections trials; quantitative genetics studies; polyploidy breeding; recurrent selection procedures; new cultivar development; interspecific hybridisation; germplasm evaluation & collection; disease resistance breeding; breeding for secondary plant metabolites; plant variety rights; project management of plant breeding programmes.
